Argan oil

Argania spinosa also known as argan oil is produced from the argan tree kernels, which only grow in Morocco.

Benefits of argan oil:

  1. Protection from the sun. In Morocco women use argan oil as protection from the sun, this study was supported by the national library of medicine. Since H.C is located in Florida it is only smart to add a natural sunscreen into all of our cold process soaps. Florida's UV ray index is between 8 to 10 and the average UV index for many states are between 4 to 5. In other words, you will burn in about 20 minutes after stepping outside during the high intensity UV ray times. (Between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

  2. Treats many skin conditions. Argan oil has many healing properties including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, so it is a wonderful oil in cold process soap for individuals who suffer from eczema or psoriasis.

  3. Treats acne. When you have hormonal acne you produce an excess amount of sebum, argan oil has anti-sebum effects. This oil regulates the production of sebum on your skin and has the ability to promote a calm, smoother complexation.

  4. Prevents and Reduces stretch marks. Stretch marks are common for many women during pregnancy but anyone can experience them, argan oil has been proven to increase skin elasticity and is great in cold process soap for people who want to reduce the appearance of stretch marks or to prevent them. (Just remember you are beautiful with or without them)

  5. Anti-aging capabilities. Another study by the national library of medicine found that putting argan oil on your skin or taking supplements can reduce aging characteristics. For example, during menopause the lack estrogen production causes a disruption of elasticity in your skin, but as said in fact three argan oil can increase elasticity! therefore it is a staple in our cold process soaps.
